MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The Lucky Brand Foundation seeks out charitable organizations who are led by people dedicated to making the lives of children happier and more hopeful. The tireless efforts of these organizations remain true to the heart of the Lucky Brand Foundation. It is an honor and inspiration to be associated with them. Organizations include:

Dream Street Foundation

Dream Street provides camping programs for children with chronic and life threatening illnesses including cancer, AIDS and blood disorders. These children are given the opportunity to enjoy activities they would normally be restricted from due to their illness.

Camp Del Corazon

A nonprofit ACA accredited camp specializing in children with heart disease or with a history of heart disease. The camp is held on beautiful Catalina Island over the Labor Day weekend.

Inside Out Community Arts

Inside Out Community Arts serves middle school youth with mental and emotional disabilities living at Metropolitan State Hospital in Southern California. Contributions from the Foundation enable these children to participate in art therapy programs designed to enhance their treatment and recovery process.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America

The Lucky Brand Foundation supports a camp in Southern California for kids suffering from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times

Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times provides fun-filled medically supervised, cost-free year round camp for children with cancer and their families.

Time For Life

Established in 1999, Time For Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and implementing programs and services to meet the needs of children with cancer and their families.

Starlight Children's Foundation

Starlight Children's Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families.

Vista Del Mar Child and Family Service

It is dedicated to the well-being and care of children and families in Southern California who suffer the emotional, physical, psychological and social consequences of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Camp I Can

Camp I can is a summer day camp for children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Each summer the Lucky Brand Foundation assists in sending 125 kids to camp.


Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles

Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions. The Lucky Brand Foundation has granted several wishes to these children.

Children’s Health Fund

The Children’s Health Fund provides healthcare to underserved children by delivering care in rural and urban areas. Through the “Blue Bus” they are able to reach children in their communities. The Lucky Brand Foundation has funded the cost of building a Blue Bus to serve the communities of the gulf coast.

Mychal’s Learning Place provides social and recreational programs to children with developmental disabilities.

P.S. Arts

P.S. Arts works to restore arts education programs to schools in disadvantaged areas.

Ride On

Ride On teaches horseback riding to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities.

Teddy Bear Cancer Fund

supports families who are dealing with cancer.

University of Miami School of Medicine Pediatric Mobile Unit

This pediatric mobile unit provides healthcare to the underserved, uninsured children of South Miami.

The Bridge School

The Bridge School is dedicated to improving education for children with severe speech and physical impairments. Donations from the Lucky Brand Foundation fund the school's two-week Building Bridges Summer Camp.

Association for Children with Down Syndrome

ACDS offers training and education for children with Down Syndrome. Donations from the Lucky Brand Foundation have funded a playground and an audiological testing suite which allows for diagnosis and close monitoring of hearing loss in children, allowing ACDS to maximize the educational potential of each child.

Children's Hospital L.A. - Division of Rheumatology

The Division treats inflammatory and non-inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma and vasculitis. The Lucky Brand Foundation provides an ongoing fund for the Department to take care of the special needs of children suffering from this debilitating disease.

The Smile Train

The Smile Train is dedicated to eradicating the problem of cleft lips and palates. Donations from the Lucky Brand Foundation fund numerous surgeries in developing countries.

The National Ability Center

The National Ability Center is committed to the development of lifetime skills for people of all ages and abilities by providing affordable outdoor sports and recreational experiences in a nurturing environment.

Camp Sundown

Camp Sundown is a special camp for children suffering from Xeroderma Pigmentosum, a rare genetic defect characterized by severe sensitivity to all sources of UV radiation (especially sunlight). Donations from the Lucky Brand Foundation assist in funding camp sessions

The Fulfillment Fund

The Fulfillment Fund is a mentoring program working with the LAUSD. Donations from the Lucky Brand Foundation allow students with physical disabilities to participate in the Teen Access Program (TAP) by providing them with the necessary equipment.

CHIME Charter Elementary School

CHIME Charter Elementary School provides a setting where children (K-5) with disabilities are welcomed as equal members of the classroom. The Foundation has granted CHIME money to purchase adaptive equipment for their playground.

Oralingua School for the Hearing Impaired

Oralingua School serves the needs of school age children by teaching them to hear with the use of cochlear implants. Funds donated from the Foundation were used to build additional classrooms, to purchase video equipment to assist in tracking a student's developmental growth, and to purchase vans to transport kids to their activities.

Island Dolphin Care

Island Dolphin Care is a special dolphin-assisted therapy program developed to help children and their families cope with various developmental, physical and/or emotional difficulties. Donations from Lucky Brand Foundation fund additional camp sessions serving children from all over the country allowing them to swim with dolphins as a means of rehabilitation and a source of comfort and healing.

Shane's Inspiration

Shane's Inspiration is a "boundless" playground at Griffith Park where both disabled and able-bodied children play together - the first wheelchair-friendly playground on the West Coast.

Chase Place

Chase Place is an organization that builds special art therapy rooms for seriously ill children at ChildrensHospital Los Angeles. Funds from the Foundation have built a second room and assist in the staffing of these rooms.
